Malvern Central Netball Club
(MCNC)
Netball for all the locals
About MCNC
Our Club
MCNC is a community, not-for-profit netball club who plays competitively within the Stonnington City Netball Association (SCNA) competition.
MCNC enables all players the opportunity to play netball, develop their skills, and compete in a fun, safe and equitable environment.
We welcome children from all schools, and within the local community.
Our Mission
To provide children within the local community a pathway to develop skills, knowledge and a love for the game of netball, and an opportunity to compete within the SCNA competition.
Our Teams
NetSetGo is the entry program for girls and boys and provides children, of all abilities, with a positive introduction to netball, teaching them basic skills and rules of the sport. MCNC runs this program for Year 2 students.
MCNC teams play in the Stonnington City Netball Association (SCNA) Junior Competition fielding teams in all age groups including Open.
Our Training
Training is held at Malvern Central School and at Orrong Romanis Reserve during the school term. Training days, times and locations are allocated by the club.
Our Policies
MCNC is governed by the club’s policies. These outline the rules that the club operates under and provide context with regards to decisions the club makes.
These policies can be found under the Information menu.
State of Play
The club began in 2013 with the introduction of the NetSetGo program to an enthusiastic group of Year 2’s.
The NetSetGo program has continued each year since then and resulted in every year level from Year 2 onward’s producing netball teams that compete in the Stonnington City Netball Association Junior competition.
Even after leaving Malvern Central School, most players continue to play for MCNC, enabling the club to field teams right up to the Under 17 competition.
